The weather in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is quite reminiscent of the typical Mediterranean climate in Israel and will therefore be suitable for a visit all year round – with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, the island is considered the hottest in the European region.

The summer season is from late May to mid-late October and the average temperature is 30 degrees with the hottest month (in coastal areas) being August.

Winter season on the other hand, from December to the end of February. Ranging from pleasant, dry and cool days to rainy and stormy days, but not in an extreme way. In winter the average temperature is about 15 degrees – a wonderful time to hike in Northern Cyprus, go on a skiing holiday and enjoy clear and cool air.

The transition seasons can be fickle, In the spring period from March, very pleasant and the weather is dry and cool and the autumn coming towards the end of September, is still characterized by hot weather with a bit of coolness. The mountain areas will be cooler and therefore it is advisable to equip accordingly.
