Isn’t there such a variety of water activities in Cyprus? just in case you’re not sure what everything is, here you go:

Sup (Stand up paddle-boarding)

Cyprus is an ideal place to enjoy the SUP due to the calm water and warm weather. It is a fun and challenging form of surfing where instead of paddling with your hands there is an ore. In Cyprus, there are SUP schools and contests and if you are looking for an unordinary for of surfing, this is the thing to do.

Parasailing

Floating through the sky with a parachute connected to a motorboat, feeling like a bird gliding through the air. It is so much fun. This water experience is a must-do when at a relaxed sea. It’s actually very peaceful. Some people don’t know enough about parasailing and think they must have a certain skill set. This is an incorrect assumption, you just go and enjoy, no questions asked.

Water skiing

In this activity, you hold on to a rope connected to a speed boat while standing in the skies. The boat starts going fast pulling you on the skies across the water. It is exhilarating. This watersport does demand a certain amount of skill. The real question is, how long can you hold on?

Scuba Diving

On the ground there is beauty wherever you look in Cyprus, however, when you go underwater, you can discover new amazing worlds filled will phenomenal marine life and hypnotic corals. This sport is incredible and fascinating anywhere in the world, but in Cyprus, it is something unique. It isn’t believed to be a coincidence that Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, came from under the waters of the Cyprus sea.

Banana

How long can you hold on to the banana without falling into the water? This is the question everyone thinks of before going on this ride. In this activity, there is a banana-shaped float connected to a speed boat. When the speed boat turned it is very difficult to hold on, and you would usually fall. It is somewhat of an extreme bull holding ride but on water. So, how long can you hold on?

Jet Ski

Imagine being able to ride a motorcycle on the water. That would be the jet ski. But of course, it isn’t as simple as that, there are waves to battle. With a jet ski you get to speed through the water, it is a lot of fun! Are you able to tame the waves like the god Poseidon? It is recommended to get instruction before trying. There is also an option of having two people on the jet ski.

Fly fishing

Some people think parasailing is like being on a kite, however, flyfishing is more like a kite. In fly fishing, two people get strapped to a round large float which is connected by cable to a speed boat. The speed pulls the float which starts going up and down just like a kite, with the people strapped to it. It is uplifting (literally).

Wakeboard

If you had enough of waterskiing and you feel like doing something really hard, wakeboard is for you. It’s like waterskiing but instead of skies, you are standing on a board that reminds people of a snowboard. Why try this? First of all, it’s difficult which just adds to the fun. Secondly, you can show your crazy skills with acrobatic maneuvers. We are just waiting for wakeboarding to become an Olympic sport.

Flyboard

Superman? Ironman? I think Ironman! You finally have a watersport where you can actually feel like a superhero. You stand on this hydro flight board which is connected by hose to a watercraft. The water comes from the watercraft to a pair of boots with jet nozzles and allows you to float up into the air more than 20 meters high, oh, and it’s really cool and fun!
