A family vacation is always so much fun! In Cyprus, there are so many amazing activities for all the ages you should know about:
Fasouri Watermania
This is the best waterpark in Cyprus. It’s so great that a few hours here won’t be enough, you need a whole day and the kids will be asking for more. At the park, there is a variety of water slides, rides, and pools which all of you can enjoy, toddlers, teens, and adults. If you don’t feel like getting such an adrenaline rush, you can get a massage or just work on your tan.
Sparti Park
Come enjoy an adventurous ropes park located in the village- Fano Platers. It is about a 40-minute drive away from Limassol where you can enjoy the views on the way. This attraction is a perfect place where children (and older children) can enjoy a few hours of fun. Older children can try archery as well. It is recommended to come early to the park because many of the activities are in the sun.
Cyprus Land – Mid-evil Theme Park
Weren’t the mid-evil times enchanting? With nights, kings, archery, horses and so much more, you can take a day to go back in time and enjoy what once was. You can watch duals, great costumes. Before going to this park, do note that there is a schedule for different activities in the park.
Aphrodite’s Rock
According to the legend, this rock is the site of the birth of the goddess Aphrodite. Climbing it can get you great views, and who knows maybe even Aphrodite’s love powers. The beach nearby is beautiful to swim in, a bit difficult to get to, but entirely worth it.
Aphrodite Water Park
Aphrodite Water Park is the largest park on the western side of the island. It’s a great activity with or without children. It has rides for all ages, so if you come with teens or toddlers, you’re covered. The rides are great and satisfy both people who want an adrenaline rush, and people who want to keep it calm.
Paphos Zoo
What started as Christos Christoforou’s private collection, became the Paphos Zoo. The idea was to show the public a great variety of animals and teach them how to conserve nature.
The scenery at the zoo is beautiful. With wonderful gardens and gorgeous water, holding animals such as giraffes, tigers, white lions, monkeys, kangaroos, and many more. Don’t forget to go to the bird section of the zoo with over 200 types of birds to see.
Akamas Peninsula
After a beautiful hour-long coastal ride up north, you will reach Akamas Peninsula. Here you can be amazed by the beautiful views of untouched mountains and gorges and many Cyprian endemic plants. It is also in the best places in the Mediterranean to see various types of turtles. By spending your day here you’ll be able to relax, swimming beautiful beaches and altogether enjoy nature.
Parko Paliatso Luna Park
Here you have 25 great rides. Imagine being in the seat of a giant slingshot and get slung 80 Meters high pretty much as fast as a bullet. Take a ride 110 km/h fast with a G force of 6.6, which is faster than that of a Formula One racecar taking a crazy turn. Be marveled by the views from a 45 Meters high Ferris wheel. Try out an awesome mouse-style roller coaster. In addition to thrill rides, there are also many kids’ rides.
Larnaca Salt Lake
Salt Lake is a seasonal lake. In the winter and spring, there is a lake on location, however, in the summer it evaporates and leaves a crusty layer of salt on the ground. At all times it is a beautiful site.
Milia Bridge
Speaking of exploring Venetian architecture, you have got to go see this bridge. It’s a short and easy hike (2 KM) but completely worth it. Here you can get a perfect romantic picture and enjoy yourself on the riverbank.
Anogyra Carob Museum
The carob will be often considered healthy chocolate but that does not do it justice. This museum shows you the many uses of carob both today and historically. Located in Anogyra village in the Limassol District inside a building from the 19th century. You get to see the production processes of various carob delicacies. We love their carob syrup.
The Museum of Fairytales
Everyone grew up in fairy tales. each person has their favorite, and everyone would love to hear more of these terrific stories. Here you’ll get to see the well-known and unknown fairy tales, art connected to the fairy tales, exhibitions, music inspired by fairy tales, storytelling lessons, events, and rare books. It’s a magical place to spend your time.
Water World
Located in Aiya Napa is a great water park. This park is Ancient Greek-themed and is one of the largest water parks in Europe. The rides and pools are names after Ancient Greek characters which adds to the fun. Having more than 25 different things to choose from here, having a great time is pretty much guaranteed.
